Our Research to Careers class visited Cloverfield Market to learn about starting and operating a local family business. It looks like they had a great time!
MJHS students were treated to a special guest today, Cyndee Shaffer, author of "Mollie's War." Cyndee told the story of her mother, Mollie Weinstein Shaffer, who joined the WAC during WW2. This story is part of the traveling Holocaust Exhibit, currently on display at the Marshall Public Library.
A special treat today for these 8th Grade students who met the weeklong goal of being prepared for every class, every day. Ice cream and fruit bars for the win!

The Lady Cubs Basketball opened the season tonight against Paris Crestwood. 7th Grade with an ipening night win 27-26! The Cubcadettes performed tonight and did a great job, as well!
The baseball team is in action today at home against Casey. Softball is on the road at Paris Mayo! Good luck to both teams.

Congrats to the MJHS Girls on XC team on their 1st place finish at the Doc Acklin Invitational! Grace Thompson finished 2nd overall. Libby Huisinga and Liberty Cline were also in the top 10 finishing 7th and 8th respectively.

MJH Softball at Hutsonville on Friday, August 25 has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 31 at 5:00 in Hutsonville. As a result, the Olney game has been canceled.
MJH baseball at Palestine has been canceled for tonight, Wednesday, August 9. Rescheduled for tomorrow at 4:30.
Reminder: This evening, August 7th, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM the building will be open to set up lockers, walk the building, and meet staff.

The Junior High Girls Softball (Incoming 7th & 8th Graders) Mandatory Parent Meeting will be held Monday, July 17, 6:00 p.m. @ the Varsity Softball Field. Tryouts / Practice will begin Monday, July 24th, 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Cork Medical will once again host Physical Clinics this summer for all athletes. IESA/IHSA requires all athletes to have a sports physical prior to participation in practices/games. The dates for the clinics this summer are Tuesday, June 13 and Tuesday, August 8 from 4:00-6:00. Cost is $20 cash only. Fall Sport athletes need to try to make the June 13 clinic to avoid not being able to practice.

Congratulations to Madeleine Fox on her 2nd place Finish in the 1600 at the IESA Class 3A State Meet! Her time of 5:21.63 is a new MJHS record.
